We could not make DC happen without you and we cannot succeed in the next four years without your engagement. The power of love is always greater than the power of hatred.
And LOVE WOKE UP.
On November 9th 2016 women from all around the country, most who had never done any sort of social or political activism before, began working to organize a national march on Washington, DC. A march that turned out to be the largest political march that the United States has ever seen. United under one banner, women (as well as their male and gender non-conforming allies) around the country pledged to come together and fight for democracy, unity, freedom, equality, truth and JUSTICE FOR ALL.
Women came together to defend themselves. To stand up and unite to keep democracy alive for their children, their futures, and their communities and to defend those most at risk in the White House and Congressional agendas. The organizing efforts for the Women’s March on Washington brought people together to organize against racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, climate change denial, sexual assault and domestic violence, ableism and xenophobia. United under one banner we have pledged to continue.
We are pro-woman, pro-community, pro-sustainability, pro-love, pro-diversity and WE ARE CONTINUING THE MOVEMENT.
